About Marco Ceccarelli

Marco Ceccarelli is Program Officer for the Microelectronics and Photonics Industry at the European Commission, where he contributes to the development of EU strategies and policies for the semiconductor industry. Being one of the main authors of the European Chips Act package, Marco now plays a key role in its implementation, focusing on R&I, design and manufacturing. Before joining the Commission in 2017, he held various management positions at Philips (NL), leading innovation in electronic systems, and held management positions in high-tech SMEs.</span >
His career began as a researcher in Italy and the Netherlands. Marco holds an electronic engineering degree from the University of Florence and an Executive MBA from ESSEC Business School in Paris.
