JEP – Power Electronics Day

Power Electronics Day - March 27, 2025 | Hauts-de-France

JEP is back on March 27, 2025!

Designing converters to meet the challenges of the energy transition: needs and constraints

Initiated in 2023 by ACSIEL and the MEDEE cluster, the Hauts-de-France Power Electronics Day is set against the backdrop of the energy transition. This year, it will highlight the innovations and challenges associated with power converter design. This edition will focus on the alignment of industrial and research activities, as well as the importance of eco-design and training to meet current and future energy needs.

ENSAM workshops

Thre workshops of ENSAM will be presented by doctoral students:

  • 1 : Modular multilevel converter
  • 2 : Overcurrent protection of a grid-forming controlled inverter in the event of faults
  • 3 : Impedance identification and stability prediction by PHIL simulation of an industrial converter

Plateform EPMLab of L2EP

The EPMLab (Electrical Power Managment Lab) is an L2EP technology platform. It offers a collaborative environment dedicated to innovative experimentation in the fields of intelligent electrical networks and power electronics. It covers a wide range of topics: smart grids, transmission systems with a high penetration of power electronic converters, and hardware tests based on the PHIL principle. It includes various production units, storage systems, connection interfaces based on power electronics such as modular and multilevel converters (MMC), a photovoltaic power plant (18 kW), a cogeneration system, supercapacitors, as well as static or dynamic emulation devices of various types.
