LAAS-CNRS
LAAS-CNRS (Laboratoire d’Analyse et d’Architecture des Systèmes) is a research unit of the CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique), associated with the Université Toulouse Midi-Pyrénées. LAAS-CNRS research focuses on the study of complex systems at different scales.
They focus on 4 major scientific fields: automation, computer science, robotics and micro/nanosciences.
By placing the notion of “systems” at the heart of its interests, the work carried out at LAAS-CNRS ultimately concerns large-scale distributed systems, autonomous systems with critical infrastructures, mobile systems, embedded systems, integrated systems, micro- and nano-systems, biological systems, and so on.
They target a wide range of applications, including aeronautics, space, energy, transport and mobility, telecommunications, healthcare, agri-food, the environment, production engineering and the industry of the future, defense, etc.
With over 600 researchers, university professors, engineers, technicians, post-docs and PhD students, LAAS-CNRS is a major player in systems research in the Midi-Pyrénées region, France and Europe.
