Appointment | Jonathan Albrieux appointed Chairman of the IPC 7711/21 Committee
Managing Director of Iftec (Institut Européen de Formation des Techniciens des Circuits imprimés) since February 2023, Jonathan Albrieux has just been appointed Chairman of the 128-member IPC-7771/21 Committee, the IPC standard dealing with the subject of “Rework, Modification and Repair of Electronic Assemblies”.
IPC standards are widely used in France. Being a member of a committee enables you to follow the development, creation and modification of content and criteria. It also enables us to take part in international interprofessional discussions at meetings (remote or face-to-face). The exchange of points of view within these committees leads to the validation or not of a point of the standard (the majority is obtained by 2/3 of the participants in the vote).
Each IPC standard is the fruit of a group effort. As Chairman of the “7-34 Repairability Subcommittee” group, made up of 128 international members (including IFTEC trainer Mickaël DENOUAL), Jonathan ALBRIEUX will be the “project manager”, assisted by one or more Co-Chairs. He will lead the committee meetings, prepare the review of comments and organize discussions at the meetings. Technical comments will be processed by Action Teams and then submitted to the committee for a vote. Jonathan ALBRIEUX will be responsible for monitoring the work of the A-Teams (progress, meeting deadlines, etc.).
