SEMI ISS Europe 2025 highlights AI as a catalyst for competitiveness and innovation in Europe
SOPOT, Poland ─ January 09, 2025 – From March 12-14 in Sopot, Poland, industry leaders, leading economists, policy makers and technology experts will gather at SEMI’s Industry Strategy Symposium Europe (ISS Europe) 2025 to explore the transformative role of artificial intelligence in advancing Europe’s semiconductor industry. This year’s symposium will focus on how artificial intelligence is set to become a key element in improving Europe’s global competitiveness, with projections estimating its impact at $2 trillion across multiple sectors by 2030.
Under the theme of AI: a catalyst for boosting Europe’s competitiveness, the symposium will explore the economic, technological, commercial and societal trends that are reshaping the semiconductor industry. Experts will examine how applications of artificial intelligence in the semiconductor supply chain can foster innovation, efficiency and coopetition (cooperation and competition), which will be essential for Europe’s future leadership in the global market.
“This is a critical time for semiconductor industry leaders to align their strategies and take advantage of the growth opportunities offered by artificial intelligence,” said Laith Altimime, President of SEMI Europe. Europe has a unique opportunity to drive global semiconductor growth by harnessing AI to strengthen innovation, improve supply chain resilience and consolidate European leadership.” At ISS Europe, executives and leaders will share knowledge to advance research and development, accelerate AI-based technologies and position Europe at the forefront of the digital revolution.”
