ACSIEL Webinar | Electronics and the new space age: Europe’s strategic position in a global tech battleground
A look back at the ACSIEL webinar “Electronics and the new space age: Europe’s strategic position in the global technology race”
The New Space market is undergoing a spectacular transformation, marked by a significant increase in investment and innovation. This emerging sector, dominated by private companies and start-ups, is redefining the rules of the game for the traditional space industry.
The New Space sector is booming, with double-digit annual growth forecast to reach an estimated $1 trillion by 2040. This growth is mainly fuelled by the development of disruptive technologies such as micro-launchers and small satellites.Micro-launchers, which are compact and economical, enable dedicated launches for small satellites, offering flexibility and speed. Small satellites, which will account for a very large proportion of the satellites launched in the coming years, open up new opportunities for the space industry.
This new market presents technological challenges, starting with the design, simulation and testing of on-board chips, which must guarantee efficient, innovative and reliable results. The integration of advanced technologies, such as broadband RF power amplifiers with sophisticated control, makes it possible to address key communications issues in terms of power, spectrum width and signal reliability.
Europe expects to play a strategic role in this new space era, with a number of start-ups and initiatives aimed at strengthening its position on the world market, and this will require massive investment and critical choices to be made quickly.
To explore these dynamics, the ACSIEL Innovation and Foresight Commuission in partnership with YOLE have proposed this ACSIEL Webinar “Electronics and the new space age: Europe’s strategic position in the global technology race”.
Many of you took part in this captivating webinar, where we explored Europe’s crucial role in the modern space age through an in-depth analysis of market trends, technological challenges and innovative solutions.
