Study on salaries in the electronics sector in 2023 in France

In 2023, Khonexio carried out a study of salaries in electronics and embedded systems in France, interviewing nearly 19,000 professionals (engineers, project managers, directors), all with a Bac+5 or higher.

The study, covering 24 areas of expertise in hardware and software, showed that salaries vary according to experience, location (7 geographical zones analyzed), and application sector.

Recent graduates earn between €35,464 and €43,263 gross per annum, marking an increase in salaries of less than 5% on previous years.

The most lucrative fields include defense, while automotive remains the least lucrative, although the gap is narrowing.

The Paris region offers the highest salaries, with a less marked disparity compared to the provinces, except for the Brest/Nantes/Rennes area.

Skills in radio frequencies, power electronics, purchasing, analog electronics and embedded Linux are those with the highest salary increases.
