Press release: Pierre-Jean ALBRIEUX, president of IFTEC, joins the IPC Hall of Fame

Pierre-Jean ALBRIEUX receives the Raymond E. PRITCHARD distinction and enters the IPC Hall of Fame

Los Angeles – April 9, 2024 – Pierre-Jean ALBRIEUX</ a>, President of IFTEC, was inducted into the IPC Raymond E. Pritchard Hall of Fame at APEX EXPO 2024 in Anaheim. IPC’s most prestigious honor, the Hall of Fame Award is given to individuals who have provided exceptional service to IPC and the electronics industry.

This is the first time that the IPC has awarded this distinction to a non-American, a European and what’s more a Frenchman!

Pierre-Jean ALBRIEUX was honored for his enthusiastic support of the IPC’s mission to serve the electronics industry as a promoter of training and of IPC certification.

Under the leadership of Pierre-Jean, IFTEC translated several IPC standards, certification training programs and IPC study guides into French CID and IPC CID+. IFTEC has been involved in IPC hand soldering competitions in France since 2016, with staff serving as judges at competitions and championships across Europe. IFTEC staff also participate in around thirty standard development and training committees.

Winner of the IPC President Award in 2016, Pierre-Jean ALBRIEUX was recognized for making IFTEC a leading IPC training and certification center and exemplary in Western Europe. In France, thanks to IFTEC’s promotion to the industry, the IPC has seen the number of its members increase considerably.

Pierre-Jean oversaw the creation of the IPC Designers Council France, the first French IPC working group which offers interprofessional technical exchanges within the electronic sector to work towards the establishment of common design standards.

Pierre-Jean ALBRIEUX is deeply involved in the industry in France, notably with the SNESE (National Association of French Electronic Subcontracting Companies) organization which represents electronic subcontracting in France since 1983, as well as with ACSIEL Alliance Electronique, professional union of industrial players in the electronics value chain in France.

The president of the IPC, John Mitchell, highlights the achievements of Pierre-Jean ALBRIEUX: “Those who work closely with Pierre-Jean immediately recognize his expertise, his strong leadership skills as well as the knowledge and experience he possesses to accomplish so much.
